Sticky Toffee Cuppie

Sticky Toffee Cuppie

Molasses date cake with graham cracker inside topped with toffee frosting

This cuppie flavor was inspired by one of our favorite desserts: sticky toffee pudding. What exactly is sticky toffee pudding? Pudding in England is just another word for dessert. To be technical, it’s a light cake made with dates and treacle (the British equivalent of molasses) that is served warm, drizzled (or drenched) with a hot toffee sauce and often served with ice cream or whipped cream. If you don’t like dates, never fear; the dates add some sweetness and moisture to the cake but otherwise you’d never know they were there!
